Located in Wilton (on the way to Mt. Blue State Park in beautiful Western Maine), Wilson Lake Country Club's nine holes are a classic Wayne Stiles design. Golfers began playing there in 1932, and through more than three quarters of a century, the track has retained its Golden Age charm. The course has historical significance not only for its excellent Stiles layout, but also for the fact that in 1946 the famous Patty Berg played an exhibition match there, setting the women's course record of 38.

Golfers from both Maine and "away" return year after year to play what many consider to be "The Best Nine in Maine".
